About Us
We are an Orlando based artist development company owned by Michael and Caroline Walker. Our services include instrumental instruction and vocal coaching, music production, day-to-day artist management, music business consultation, and songwriting guidance. We pride ourselves on our unique, wrap-around approach that enables artists to reach their goals and achieve their dreams as musicians and singer songwriters.
The Team
Michael Walker
Michael has over twenty-five years of experience as a multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer, songwriter and instructor. A sought after studio musician, he has recorded well over a thousand guitar tracks in various styles of music, including but not limited to: pop, metal, funk, reggae, blues, country, Americana, Bollywood, and classical. He has production credit on over one hundred songs on iTunes, over a million hits on You Tube, and has music credits for tv/film on HBO. In 2005 his band Rule of 7 received a grammy award for the Florida Unsigned Bands Showcase. After a long career as a performance/studio musician and guitar instructor, Mike segued into artist development and production, and is proud to be working with some of Central Florida’s most promising talent. Many of his clients have achieved significant success, including DME alumni Taylor Buono who is signed to RCA, Jared Hara of Symmetry, Greg Carrillo who is the guitarist for Brett Eldridge Band, and rising country artist Noah Schnacky. Mike has been an industry professional panelist for House of Blues Music Forward Foundation’s “Bringing Down the House” program as well as one of the original instructors for Rock and Roll Camp Orlando, established in 1999. Mike continues to perform with bands such as Spayed Koolie and enjoys backing up his artists each year at the Florida Music Festival.
Caroline Walker
Caroline is a day-to-day manager and music business consultant who works closely with independent artists to help them understand and work within the ever-changing music industry. She is an ambassador for Rick Barker’s Music Industry Blueprint and helps guide her clients to the best educational and networking opportunities in Central Florida and beyond. As a mother of four children in their teens and twenties, Caroline is an excellent advisor to parents of young artists navigating the music business. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in counseling and has volunteered extensively in public and private schools, as well as a variety of nonprofit organizations. On the creative side, Caroline is a lyricist who, along with Michael, provides songwriting guidance to their clients.
Our Partners
We work with a team of dedicated professionals who provide a variety of services including studio musicians, videographers, photographers, stylists, website designers, and venues. We partner with Rick Barker (Taylor Swift’s former manager) for music business guidance and educational opportunities that we pass along to our clients. We also partner with Yellow Dog Eats where we book the talent and host a bi-weekly Open Mic Night every other Monday from 6-9 pm.
